The scene
A luxury audio electronics company needed a hero film for their flagship product launch -- a piece that would communicate precision engineering and emotional resonance through pure visual language, without narration or text overlays.
The challenge
The product's dark matte finish absorbed most light, making it extremely difficult to photograph while maintaining detail. The brief demanded a sense of weightlessness and elegance, requiring the object to appear almost floating in space.
The process
Shot over 3 studio days with a team of 5. Custom-built rigs suspended the product on thin wires later removed in post. Lighting was built layer by layer: a key cyan edge light, magenta fill from below, and micro-spotlights to pick out surface details. Each shot was planned as a single, slow movement lasting 8-12 seconds.
Visual approach
Pure dark-field lighting with colored accents that reflect the brand palette. Every frame is designed as a standalone image. The edit rhythm follows a musical score composed specifically for the film, with cuts synced to sub-bass drops.
The film became the centerpiece of the product launch campaign, generating 3.4M views across platforms in the first week. The client reported a 28% increase in pre-orders compared to their previous launch.
